Environmental Engineering

The study program of basic academic studies Environmental Engineering is a joint study program of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac (FIN) and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Kragujevac (PMF). At the 56th electronic session of the Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance of the Republic of Serbia, which was held on April 29, 2021, a decision was made on the accreditation of this study program.

The study program lasts four years (240 ECTS), belongs to the field of technical and technological sciences and gives the academic title "Bachelor of Environmental Protection".

The conditions for enrollment in the study program and other most important elements of the study program and study regime are prescribed by the Statute and the Rulebook on the regime of basic and master studies of the Faculty of Engineering.

In addition to taking the exam, the realization of professional practice is also planned, as well as the preparation of a diploma thesis.

Learning outcomes in the study program:

  • mastery of advanced academic knowledge related to theories, principles and processes within environmental engineering,
  • possession of knowledge necessary for evaluation, critical understanding and application of knowledge in the field of environmental engineering,
  • Possession of skills for solving complex problems in the field of environmental engineering and in non-standard conditions,
  • mastery of computer tools, programming skills and the use of information and communication technologies and available modern research equipment, relevant to the field of environmental engineering,
  • monitoring and application of innovations in the profession, as well as successful and equal cooperation with various social groups,
  • mastering the broader context of perceiving engineering problems, which means taking into account economic, organizational and socio-social relations in the field of environmental engineering, in order to improve existing practices,
  • possessing the ability to undertake enterprising problem solving, managing complex projects (independently and with full responsibility), organizing, controlling and training others to work in the field of environmental engineering,
  • ability to apply ethical standards of the profession of environmental engineer and to show a positive attitude towards the importance of lifelong learning.
